Breakwater 1894

Posted on Jun 9, 2014 by in Breakwater, Crooklets | 0 comments

This 1894 photograph shows the breakwater at low tide; a ketch resting in the harbour has horses and carts in attendance to receive her cargo. In the background, development is just starting at Crooklets, with the stone wall just built, although the only structures are changing tents on the beach.
