Jessie in the canal in 1904

The ketch Jessie, which was caught in the canal when the lock gates were stove in by a storm on 2nd February 1904; she ended up broadside on across the canal and was later recovered. A worse fate awaited the Wild Pigeon, which was washed out of the locks in the same incident, she ended up under Summerleaze cliffs and became a total loss.
