The ketch Wild Pigeon leaves Bude harbour with assistance from the hobblers, who used to row lines from a ship to posts, so that she could warp (winch) herself forwards. The Wild Pigeon was eventually wrecked under Summerleaze cliffs in 1904, after being swept out of the locks when a storm caved in the lock gates
